Gas Station TV Launches "STAR"

Reality TV is about to hit the gas pump. Gas Station TV, seen on more than 5,000 screens on gas pumps in many of the nation's largest markets, announced the launch of Gas Station TV's Wanna Be A BroadcaSTAR, an American Idol-like search for the face of its network. The winner, to be announced July 17, will be awarded with a $2,500 cash price and featured as the host of a new recurring lifestyle segment on GSTV Network.

Aspiring personalities submit auditions online at www.beabroadcastar.com until May 4. GSTV viewers cast their votes between May 12 to June 30.

"As we add diverse, more impactful levels of content to GSTV, we're looking for fresh broadcast-ready talent," said David Leider, CEO of GSTV. "We want to give our viewers the power of the vote, to choose the star they'd like to see each time they visit our stations and watch our network, further driving consumer enjoyment and engagement with our off-the-couch "TV."

GSTV's screens at the gas pump air four and a half to five minutes of news and entertainment content and commercials aimed at captive audiences as they fill up. Content partners include CBS and ESPN.
